My name is Wafa from Jordan -the Leader of Arabic team.

There was a time in my life, my heart was empty and desperate for love and aceptance, nothing in my life could fill that gap in my heart, that’s why I tried many times to end it, but God with His mercy didn’t allow it.

In spite of being Christian “by name” I didn’t have a personal relationship with God, I tried to please Him by my deeds but never succeed, I was confessing the same sins every week to the priest.

At the age of 18, I met a group of true Christians who led me to Jesus. I will never forget the joy and peace I felt in my heart after accepting Jesus as my savior. Since that time, He is working in my life.

When I came to USA I was looking and praying for doors to open to serve Him. I have tried other ministries and served with them but I didn’t feel it was right for me. Because I am not that good in speaking English with people in person. I can’t find the right words to say on the spot with my second language, that’s why LGG was the perfect ministry for me, because it’s for women, its online “no need to be Fluent in speaking the language” and the studies is so practical, it touches our daily life.

How I knew about LGG:
A friend of mine, Lucy, Knew Angela, because she works in Angela’s daughters’ school. It happened that Angela told her about LGG and the need for Arabic language in their studies, and if she knows someone who could translate to Arabic, because Lucy has a passion for Arabs and Muslims to know Jesus and she invited me many times to go with her for outreach to translate.

So, when Lucy asked me if I could translate for LGG, I said YES even though I was not sure of my ability to do so. After that Lucy introduced me to Angela and from there we began. God has shown me many times that this is the answer to my prayers.

Honestly in every study we translate, God has something for everyone in the team. It helps me personally grow in my faith, it’s not only a knowledge from the bible, it shows how to live your life according to the bible.

For example, the IMPOTENT OF PRAYER study has helped me a lot in my prayer life. And at the time I was going through a hardship in my relationship. We began to translate the FRIENDSHIP study, I learned how to be thankful for everyone close to me even if we don’t agree, and how to evaluate the people God has put in my life. Every study I feel helped my faith to be built up.

We do publish the studies we translate mainly on WhatsApp group, many ladies said it was useful for their lives, and this is what one of them said:

I have benefited a lot from the studies, especially the study on motherhood. I used it in my personal life as well as in my ministry with Family Service.

The study on motherhood covered the main topics that a mother needs in raising and caring for her children, and showed how important is to know that she has an essential part of God’s plan for humanity through her nature, her motherhood and her role in her home, all according to the divine intention and all supported by verses from the Bible.

I also used some of the phrases from the study in the family ministry postings that I serve in Jordan.

So when you put your trust in God, submit your life in His hand, and set your mind to serve Him, He will open doors, and equip you in the right way to do so.
